Aashu Calapa is a Mysore boy who went on to do his Masters in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). He has worked for 23+ years in Human Resources (HR) in Wipro, Firstsource and Redbus. Aashu headed HR in Firstsource and Redbus.
Since 2015 Aashu has crossovered to the social sector. He has worked as Director in The Live Love Laugh Foundation and Social Venture Partners. He is on the advisory board of Quest Alliance and Sukrupa and is a trustee with the One Billion Literate Foundation. He currently volunteers for various social causes including Daan Utsav which is Indias largest festival of giving.
Major General Anil P Dere
Major General Anil P Dere is a graduate of the National Defence Academy. He was commissioned into 62 Cavalry, a tank regiment on 13 Jun 1981 and later went on to command the same Regiment. He is also a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Nilgiris, the National War College, Washington DC, USA and the National Defence College, New Delhi and has an M Phil in National Security Strategy.
He has held important command, staff and instructional appointments. His assignments have involved strategic thinking and planning, leadership, HR, training, administration and logistics. His command appointments include command of an Independent Armoured Brigade and a specialised Infantry Division in the Western Theatre. While posted in Delhi as a Brigadier from 2011-13, he was responsible for the crucial life cycle management of the complete Armoured Fighting Vehicle fleet of the Indian Army.
He has been an Instructor at the National Defence Academy and at the Army War College. As a Major General, after the command of a Division, he was head of an organisation entrusted to train middle level officers for their command assignments and was later posted to the National Defence College as a part of the faculty responsible to mentor senior military and civil service officers from India and overseas.
He retired after a distinguished career spanning over 36 years on 31 January 18. He currently works for the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
He is a keen sports person. His other interests are International Relations, Travelling and Environment & Wildlife Conservation.
Narayanan Ayipuzha (Founder & Mentor), with more than 35 years in a wide variety of assignments in corporate and academic worlds, as management consultant and educator.
Until recently, he was Global Head of Business Excellence at TCS. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He was also a certified external assessor for the Tata Group using the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) based on the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria (MBNQA). Narayanan has an excellent track record of consulting interventions, training excellence, and organizational excellence assessment. As a certified external assessor for TBEM, he has conducted and led more than 10 organizational excellence assessments for various companies within the Tata Group. The team led by Narayanan won the best assessment team award in December 2011. He was also recognized in 2015 for long standing contributions to the Business Excellence movement within the Tata Group.
He has also worked with Voltas Limited & EDI in the past.
Ms Shailu Suresh
Ms Shailu Suresh, holds a Double Masters in Biochemistry and Masters in Biomedical Engineering. She has more than 20 years of working experience in Singapore holding senior administrative, lecturing and management posts at various Government, Statutory Boards, including private healthcare at Mount Elizabeth Hospital overseeing hospital operations for 4 years and running hospitals for Parkway Healthcare in India, as the CEO for about 2 years.
She also set up a *One-stop* Health and Wellness Centre in Singapore (Om Vedic Heritage Centre) offering Traditional Indian Medicine (Ayurveda), Yoga, Meditation and Astrology in 2010. She started her 2nd outlet in Singapore called the AyurVeda Pharmacy in 2014 and 3rd in Siglap centre on20 Feb 2016, with plans of expanding in India in 2020.
Shailu is born into one of India’s greatest traditional Ayurveda houses called The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy and has royal roots as well. She is the Grand Daughter of a great visionary and Ayurvedic Physician, Late Arya Vaidyan Sri PV Rama Varier. Shailu’s father Late Shri Kerala Varma Kunjappan Thampuran hails from the Cochin Royal family known for its rich cultural heritage.
Shailu was nominated as Singapore’s Top Five finalists for ‘Promising Indian Entrepreneur of 2011’ by Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce (of 31 applications). She was the First President of the Ayurvedic Practitioners Association of Singapore in 2013 who initiated and set up the association bringing all ayurvedic doctors in Singapore together.
She is an inspiring speaker, conducts talks and workshops at various organisations and community centres on Ayurveda. She is also invited by many organisations in Singapore such as OnePeople.SG, MCYS, SINDA, Clubs, Hindu Endowments Board, Esplanade to give talks on Ayurveda, Indian customs & festivals and motivational talks for students as well.
